Digital Tools in the Classroom

Third grade students in Ms. Tyler's class will be learning how to use digital tools to create and share their work. As part of their Language Arts lessons, students will be able to record themselves using Vocaroo and then post it to the class Wallwisher for others to see, listen, and review.

Vocaroo for Reading Fluency

Utilizing a new Web 2.0 tool called Vocaroo, first grade students in Ms. Duffy's class found a new way to practice reading! Students recorded their voices using a computer and microphone headset as they read from their leveled readers. They then passed the headphones to their reading buddy who was able to listen and follow along in the text. This repeated practice helps students increase reading fluency and they had FUN while doing it!
